Dossie Dee Stidham age 92, passed Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Heritage Hall in Clintwood. Mrs. Stidham was born in Mayking, Kentucky, the daughter of Fitzhugh and Nellie Taylor. She was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. Mrs. Stidham was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and loved cooking for all on Sundays. She, also, loved to sew.

Mrs. Stidham was preceded in death by her parents, Fitzhugh and Nellie Smith Taylor; her husband, James Stidham; one daughter; three brothers and five sisters; one grandson; three daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law.

Survivors include four sons, David Stidham of Pound, Curtis Stidham of Wise, Robert Stidham and Dorothy of Pound, Fitzhugh Stidham and Halen of South Carolina; five daughters, Wanda Clay of Wise, Teresa Caudill of Pound, Patricia Sturgill and Wade of Pound, Pamela Campbell and Jim of Canada Carolyn Collins and Robert of Pound; one brother, Coy Taylor and Nancy of Pound; one sister, Marcell Dingus and Lee of Blacksburg, Virginia; 27 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 31st, 7 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Glenn Slemp and Ed Slemp officiating.  Visitation will begin at 5 pm until time of service.  Family and friends are requested to meet at Clintwood Funeral Home at 12:30 pm, Thursday, June 1st, to proceed to Dotson Cemetery, Bold Camp Road for graveside services at 1 pm. Pallbearers will be Wesley Sturgill, Waylon Sturgill, Walker Sturgill, Brandon Mullins, Logan Stidham and Makenzie Collins.
