Dorothy Faye Adkins, age 77, of Clintwood, passed away May 23, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center.  Mrs. Adkins was born in Clintwood, the daughter of the late James and Louise (Standifur) Kelley and graduated from Millard High School.  She enjoyed bible study, yard work, the outdoors, but most importantly, family time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Adkins was proceeded in death by her parents, James and Louise (Standifur) Kelley; her husband, Ronald Adkins; and her brother, James Kelley.

Mrs. Adkins is survived by her husband, Roger Combs; her son, Kenneth Adkins (Bridget), of Wytheville, Virginia; her daughter Tammi Belcher (David), of Haysi, Virginia; her grandchildren, Josh Belcher (Kelly), Ashley Belcher (Aaron), KD Blankenship (Jeremy), Bailey Adkins, and Lucas Adkins; her great-grandchildren, Remi and Ronan Blankenship, and Link Belcher; her brothers, Gary Kelley (Julia), and Trent Kelley, both of Castlewood, Virginia; her sisters, Linda Clark (Wayne), of Winchester, Kentucky, and Gail Nowlin, of Clintwood; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Dorothy Fay Adkins will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel, where services will follow at 7:00 PM, with Doug Stone officiating.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 30, 2024, at the Mullins-Adkins Cemetery, Valhalla Drive, Clintwood, Virginia.  Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any cancer charity of choice.
