Johnson City, TN. Doris Greene Wright passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Appalachian Christian Village in Johnson City, Tennessee. Born in Newport, Kentucky, Doris spent the majority of her life in Clintwood, Virginia where she and her beloved husband, Clarence, were in the Western Auto business for fifty years. She was a member of the Clintwood Baptist Church where she was active in the choir, Bible School and circle. Doris was also very active in the Clintwood High School Band Boosters organization helping with fundraising and chaperoning to ballgames and band festivals for serveral years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Clarence Wright, Jr., one sister, Judy Greene Fleming, one brother, Jack Roland Greene and her parents, Roland Daniel and Lois Greene Doris is survived by her only daughter, Mitzi Wright McNab and husband Bob McNab, two grandsons, Spencer McNab and Wesley McNab of Johnson City, Tennessee. Nephews, Kent Fleming and family of Bristol, Tennessee, Scott Fleming of Roanoke, Virginia, nieces, Krystal Thompson and family of Roanoke, Virginia, Kathy Greene Atkins and family of Ashland, Kentucky and Tonya Greene Ross and family, also of Ashland, Kentucky. As requested by the deceased, there will be a private burial at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery in Clintwood, Virginia on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 and a Celebration of Life on her birthday, June 30, 2013.
