Obituary

Doris Jean Mullins, age 77, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Nicklesville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Elbert and Katherine Cox Moore. She was a member of Georges Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband George Buford Mullins; parents Elbert and Katherine Cox Moore; two sons, Mikell Mullins and Mickey Mullins; two brothers, Earshel Moore and Willard Moore; one sister Janice Ruth Moore. Survivors include one son, Ricky and wife Tammy, granddaughter Beth Mooney and husband Will, four grandsons, Seth Mullins and wife Emily, Mason Mullins, Brycen Mullins and Parker Mullins, great-granddaughter Jayde Mooney and former daughter-in-law Liz Rose all of Clintwood, Virginia; sister, Judy Mullins and husband Hansel of Clinchco, Virginia; sister-in-law Marie Moore of Wise, Virginia. She was also survived by her beloved pets Puppy and Booger. Special thanks to the staff of Dickenson Clinic, especially Dr. Ibrahim, and Granddaughter Beth. The staff of Clintwood Home Health; caregivers, Hazel Conaway, Cynthia Ellis, Bea Steele, and friend Cathy Stanley Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Manie Strouth officiating. Burial will follow in the Creed Mullins Cemetery, Georges Fork Community. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 pm Friday evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home. A song service will begin at 7:00 pm.
