Dollie Dewdrop McFall, age 99, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. McFall was a member of the Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She was the only surviving child of Elbert and Letha Reed. She loved her garden, farm animals and hard work. Mrs. McFall was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Letha Reed; husband, Hubert McFall; one daughter, Emma McFall; four brothers, Frank Reed, Jess Reed, Willie Reed and Prentiss Reed; two sisters, Carrie Reed and Wanda McFall; and one great grandchild, Travis Williams. Survivors include; four sons, Paul McFall and wife Ruby, Joe McFall and wife Mable, Don McFall and wife Joyce all of Clintwood, and Jessie James McFall of Hillsville, Virginia; three daughters, Lee Phipps and husband Ivas of Clintwood, Jeraldine "Jerry" Robinson of Florence Oregon and Carolyn Sue Edwards and husband Leroy of Clintwood. Other survivors include fourteen grandchildren, four step grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one step great grandchild and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; caregivers, Patsy Salyers, Anita Mullins and Juanita Blevins. Funeral services will be conducted, Wednesday, June 13th, 11:00 am in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Franklin Hall and Manie Strouth officiating. Burial will follow at the McFall Cemetery on the Osborne Gap Road. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12th at 6:00 pm, with a song service beginning at 7:00 pm.
