Obituary

Delzie Lee Mullins Sr., 65, of Dungannon passed away July 4, 2018.

He was a resident of Clintwood most of his life. He is survived by his companion, Eva Burton of Dungannon and three children, Sophia Gayle Mullins of Dungannon, Delzie Lee Mullins Jr. of Dungannon, and Christy Dinneen Ramos (Mike) of Clayton, NC.

He was the proud grandfather of Lauren Presley Ramos, also of Clayton NC.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and four step-children Jeffrey Burton of Weber City, Samantha Burton of Dungannon, Nelmalena Turner of Clintwood, and Becky Austin of Clintwood.

He was the last remaining member of his immediate family, which included 14 children and was preceded in death by his parents, Edna May Mullins and Monroe G. Mullins of Clintwood.

His siblings were Alfred, Louis, Franklin "Dee", Anna "Sue", Frederick "Fred", Reba, Nina, Michael "Mike", Lynda "Irene", Zora, and Frank Dean. He had two step-brothers Wilford and John-Bill.

He was a kind-hearted man affectionately referred to as "Uncle Bo" by everyone who knew him. He loved to play horse-shoes and despite being partially deaf, he loved listening to music and would often sing pull out his old beat up guitar. He loved classic country and bluegrass. He had a lot of friends and if you ever spent any time will him at all, you would always hear someone shout out, "Uncle Bo!" That was usually followed by someone running up to give him a hug.

In lieu of a service, family and friends will be holding a cookout in his honor Sunday between 12 PM and 2 PM Bear Pen recreation area.
