Della Arlene Ramey, 72, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at Dickenson Community Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, a member of Flemingtown Freewill Baptist Church, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Bertha Hawkins Stanley; Husband, Roger Ramey; and brother, Clarence Stanley. She is survived by three sons, Jeff Ramey and wife Pam of West Virginia; Scott Ramey of Clintwood, VA; Chris Ramey and wife Tanya of Abingdon, VA; one daughter, Angela Jean Edwards and special son in law Kenneth of Clintwood, VA; two brothers Carson Stanley of Rogersville TN; Godffrey Stanley of Clintwood, VA; two sisters, Theda Pittman, and Jequita Fulk of Eufaula AL; special sister in law Rita Ramey; special caregivers Amy Edwards, and Lisa Moore; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-Grandchildren. Funeral services for Della Arlene Ramey will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Mullins officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM until time of service. Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM. Thursday, September 10, 2015 in the Ramey Family Cemetery Clintwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral Home at 12:30.
