David Gary Phipps age 68, passed away Friday November 17, 2023 at his home. He was the son of the Late David Walter and Beatrice Phipps. Gary had been life long resident of Clintwood and retired coal miner for many years. He was loving Husband, Father and Grandfather who enjoyed time spent with family, farming, horseback riding and gardening.

He is preceded in death by a brother Barry Phipps.

Survivors include his wife Vicky Brooks Phipps, his son Wayne Phipps and wife Kim, daughter Angela Davis and husband Dwight, all of Clintwood, grandchildren; Lakin Hayes and Robbie, Hunter Phipps, Landon Davis and Morgan Davis, two great grandchildren, Wyatt Hayes and June Hayes and one on the way Whitley Dale. His sisters; Brenda Ramey, Marie Coleman and Shirley Reed along with Nieces and Nephews and host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday November 20, 2023 from 12 noon till Service time at 1PM Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Gobel Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Phipps Family Cemetery, Cutter Creek section of Clintwood. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
