David Andrew Phillips, age 67, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at his residence. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Ruby Phillips. Dave was a retired coal miner, avid fisherman and loved living in the mountains. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Everyone called him Uncle Dave or to the miners he was known as "Hippy."

In addition to his parents Dave was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois, Mollie and Juanita and one brother, L.C. Phillips.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Phillips of Dante; son, Michael Phillips and Ashley of Dante; daughters, Jennifer Phillips of Maui, Hawaii and April Phillips of Dante; one brother, Frank Phillips and wife Shelli of Dante; two sisters, Cheryl Rose and Randy of St. Paul and Tammera Rose and Bobby of St. Paul; eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later day at the family lake.
