David Hubert Meade born February 28, 1955, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a hardworking man, his years in the coal mines showed his strength, dedication and courage. He had a deep appreciation for the simple things in life, such as listening to his radio.

Mr. Meade was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Della Meade; wife, Marsha Stanley-Meade; granddaughter, Taylor Meade; five sisters, Joyce, Patricia, Nina, Cathy and Judy; four brothers, Roy, Troy, James and Freddie.

Survivors include his sons, David Meade and Evan Meade and grandchildren, Colton Meade, Katelynn Meade and Eden Thacker.

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 12th, from 12 Noon until 1 pm at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
