David Paul Kilgore age 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, March 27, 2023 from Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Virginia.  Mr. Kilgore was a lifelong resident of Wise County and worked as a coal miner.  His true work was serving the Lord, as a pastor, for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved meeting new friends. Mr. Kilgore was preceded in death by his parents, Don J. and Juanita Kilgore.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Kilgore of Pound; son, Vince Moore and Crystal of Wise, Virginia; daughter, Sherry Hubbard of Castlewood, Virginia; brothers, Don Kilgore of North Dakota and Mark Kilgore of Tennessee; sisters, Adrian Brewer of Tennessee and Stella Graham of Richmond, Virginia;

grandchildren, Charles Fairchild and Amber, Austin Moore and Morgan Moore; great-grandchild, Raelynn Fairchild.

Family will receive friends Thursday, March 30 ^th from 5 until 7pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Services will begin at 7 pm with Terry Price officiating.  Family and friends are requested to meet at Clintwood Funeral Home on Friday, March 31 ^st at 11 am to proceed to Arvil Mullins Cemetery, Pound, Virginia, where a graveside service will be conducted at 12 PM. Pallbearers are Charles Fairchild, Austin Moore, Mike Crowley, Allen Gentry, Payton Gentry, Abram Mullins and Mike Short.
