David Wayne Briggs age 49, passed away Friday March 1, 2013 at his home. He was born in Nashville, TN. He served with the US Army National Guard. He worked for the town of Clintwood and many in the community as a carpenter. David was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his father Eli Polk Duncan, one brother Timothy Briggs, a grandmother Ellen Briggs along with a grandchild Spencer Mullins. He is survived by his wife Penny Briggs, his mother Delores Hickerson and husband Paul, Hohnwald, TN., sons Casey Staley, Clintwood and Zachary Pigott of Nora, VA. Daughters are Amanda Kramer and husband Joe, Daytona Beach, FL. April Camp and husband Justin, Ashburn, VA., Jennifer Turner and husband Johnny, McClure, VA. and Tiffany Pigott and husband Zach of Clintwood. Sisters are Angela West, Waynesboro, TN. Lisa Gibson and huband Steve, Tullahoma, TN. Kellie Montana, Nashville, TN. Ellie Gladden and husband Lorne, Lawrenceburg, TN. And Darlene Snee and husband Sean of Charlotte, NC. Thirteen Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Monday March 4, 2013 at the Buffalo Church with Pastor Ellis Leftwich officiating. Fellowship will follow in the reception hall after service.
