Darrell Eugene Phillips, age 77, passed away Saturday September 13, 2025, at the Dickenson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late John Smith and Alpha Elizabeth Kiser Phillips. He was loving son and brother who helped on farm for many years, he loved and cared for his horses and farm animals. Darrell loved watching westerns and spending time with his family. He was of the Christian faith and attended the Ramey Flats Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Creed, Emory, Fred and Joe Phillips, his sisters Francis Stallard, Edna Jenkins and Eula Stanley.

Survivors include his sisters Beuna Vanover and Janice Martin of Clintwood, VA. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved dearly.

Funeral Services for Darrell Phillips will be conducted at 11 AM Sunday Sept. 21, 2025, at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ellis Leftwhich, Lynn Vanover and Bill Knoskie officiating. Burial will follow at the Phillips Family Cemetery, Phillips Hollow Road Dante, VA. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday evening at Clintwood Funeral Home at 6 PM till service time at 7PM.
