Danny Morgan Dotson, 70, son of Joseph and Blanche (Boggs) Dotson, peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in the community he loved, Little River, SC.  He made countless memories in this community at The Garden of Cypress Bay.  He often referred to it as "Living the Dream".  Here is where he and his wife retired and were dedicated members of the "Little River Club."  We feel sure he was The Mayor.

Danny graduated from Clintwood High School, Home of the Greenwave, Class of 1965.  He was married to his loving wife, Veronica Lynn (Fleming) Dotson for 50 adventure filled years.  He leaves many people who will not only miss him but long for his witty ways.  This includes his daughter, Melissa (Dotson) Keith and husband Scott Keith, his son, William (Billy) Dotson and wife Lara Dotson.  Among other very close family are his grandchildren, Joshua Gilreath and wife Shannon Gilreath, Britney (Dotson) Baker and husband Jeff Baker, and Ayden Dotson.  Other family includes great-grandchildren Ella Gilreath, Brenton Baker, Easton Gilreath, and Charleston Baker, all of whom he adored.  He will be sorely missed by his siblings, Roger Dotson and wife, Donna Dotson and baby sister Jody (Dotson) Hodge.  In addition, he also had several nieces, nephews, and their families, to whom he leaves his laughter and unending memories.

Per his wishes, there will be no service or funeral.  He instead requested a low-key memorial to celebrate his life.  The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Clintwood Funeral Home, PO Box 70, Clintwood, VA 24228.
