Dana Christine Dotson, 72, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at Dickenson Community Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, a member of Clintwood Bible Church, had a love for nature, love for her children and grandchildren, an artist, and loved to fish. She was a humble and loving person, and was a caregiver to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John D and Erma J. McFall Ramey; two sisters, Gaynell Ramey, and Dovie Sadra Ramey.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Darrell Dotson of Clintwood, VA; sons, Allen Dotson and wife Cindy of Clintwood, VA; Johnny Dotson and wife Rhonda of Clintwood, VA; and Lance Dotson and wife Cindy of Wise, VA; daughter, Tena Dotson and husband Michael Fleshman of Lynchburg, VA; sisters, Sharon Farmer of Clintwood, VA; Julia Ratliff and husband Terry of Canton MI; and Mildred Yates and Husband Palmer of Clintwood, VA; sisters of the heart, Cindy Blansett ,Norma Jean Craiger and Diane Fleming; brother of the heart Danny Farmer 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dana Christine Dotson will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2016 at Clintwood Bible Church with Mike Yates, Goble Johnson, and Frank Hall Officiating. Burial will follow at Powers Branch Cemetery family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held beginning at 5:00 PM Sunday, May 8, 2016 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with a song service to be held at 7:00.
