Connie Stanley Smith, age 68, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 17, 2023.  She was a lifelong resident of Clintwood, a member of Peuther Chapel Church, and retired from Dickenson Community Hospital. She loved family time and reading books with grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Randy Smith of Clintwood; children Sally & Nick Lyall of Clintwood and Ella Smith-Justice & Josh Justice of Pikeville, Kentucky; grandchildren Sadie Lynn Lyall, Hallie Shae Lyall, and James Vincent Justice; siblings Donald Stanley of Clintwood, Lois & Roland Phipps of Jackson, Ohio, and Jean Phipps of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents George Virgil and Ella Reedy Stanley, parents-in-law Harold & Marie Smith, brother George Ray Stanley, brother-in-law Ray Phipps, sister-in-law June Stanley, Baby Sis, and an unborn grandchild.  Funeral Services for Connie Smith will be Wed. Dec. 20th at 2 PM Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Glenn Sluss and Chris Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, main street, Clintwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 PM till service time.
