Obituary

Clyde E. Rose age 94 passed away Wed. May 20, 2009 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport, TN. He was born Jan. 10, 1915 the son of the late Josh and Bessie Rose, a life long resident of Dickenson County and served his country with the United States Army. He was a retired as a brick mason, and enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. For many years attended the Honey Camp Freewill Baptist Church on Honey Camp. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, a son, and two grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Dona Rose, Clintwood; one son Wendell Rose and wife Evelyn Sue, Dumfries, VA; three daughters, Maribelle Watkins, Salyersville, Ky, Rita Jo Jordan and husband Roy, Millboro, VA, Aleta Gale Moore and husband Everett, Clintwood; two brothers, Claude Rose, Clintwood, and Josh Rose, Ormond Beach, FL; four sisters, Maude Carrier, Clintwood, Margie Talbert, Bristol, TN, Janet Rutherford, California, and Goldie Branham, Bristol. TN; also surviving are ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
