Clara Mae Smith passed away, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was born in Dickenson County and was a member of the Honey Camp Freewill Baptist Church.  She was the daughter of the late James and Fallie Rose and the widow of the late James O. Smith.

Mrs, Smith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include two brothers, Harold Rose of Burke, Virginia and Benjamin Rose of Rogersville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 30th, 11:00 AM at Honey Camp Freewill Baptist Church with David Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith-Rose Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service.
