Known by many as Clara, Mother and Grandmaw, she has been made whole again in her heavenly home at the age of 88, passing away on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Fallie Barrett, husband Riley D. Simmons and son Brian Simmons.  Left to cherish her memory are her children Riley Simmons, Jr. and Darlene, Bobby Simmons and Eileen, Debra Blevins and Danny, Jackie Samuels, Cathy Colgin, Gary Simmons and Terry, 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

As a devote Christian she loved her Lord. She gave all her Christian love to all who knew her. She was loved by all and greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 13 ^th at 11 am, in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers will be Bobby Simmons, Garland Simmons, Logan Booher, Gary Simmons, Patrick Blevins. Chris Lawson and Johnathan Lawson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
