Seldon Jay (Chuck) Horne age 86, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Horne was born in Pound, Virginia. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired coal miner. Mr. Horne loved spending time with his family, fishing, farming, and storytelling. He was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his wife Naomi Horne, second wife Carolyn Horne and daughter Judy Stevens.

Survivors include his son, Thomas Horne of Nora, Virginia; six grandchildren, Jennifer Mullins, Kenny Stevens, Alyssa Clisso, Steven Horne, Makayla Horne and Tyler Stevens; two brothers, Radford Kelly and Opal of Castlewood, Virginia and Butch Kelly and Jan of Kingsport, Tennessee; two sisters, Peggy Kelly of Clintwood, Colleen Bryant and Bill of Clintwood. Seven great grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022, 3 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
