Charlie Webb age 78, was born on August 28, 1948. He served in the United States Army, then in his civilian life dedicated himself to his work as a coal miner, a member of the Virginia Department of Forestry, Buster Brown and Food City. Mr. Webb faithfully attended Flemingtown Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Itly Webb and John Henry, Raymond Webb, Dicey Stanley, Della Moore and Rose Webb.
Mr. Webb is survived by his daughters, Amanda Sutherland (Robbie Sutherland), Bridget Moore (Dee Moore), Tina Browning (Josh Browing) and his son, Anthony Webb ( April Webb). Grandchildren, Heather Ramsey (Josh Ramsey), Alexandria Carroll, Tanner Moore, (Donna Moore), Bailey Webb (Giuliana Webb), Austin Webb, Jacob Carroll and Hannah Webb. One great-granddaughter, Lilly Ramsey. One brother, Josh Webb and sisters, Georgia Mullins (Ervin Mullins), Opal Kelly (Rad Kelly) Madeline Anderson (Johnny Anderson and Rita Carter (Sam Carter). A host of nieces and nephews, as well as his fianceé, Martha Hill.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 17th, 5 pm until 7 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. A song service will begin at 7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 18th, 12 Noon, at the funeral home, with Lester Mullins and Johnny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers are Jacob Carroll, Tanner Moore, Seth Edwards, Eric Kelley, Robbie Sutherland and Gavin Phillips.
