Cathy Lynn Fleming, age 56, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at her residence. She was of the Christian faith and a life long resident of Dickenson County. Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Alpha Mills; two sisters, Nina Sue Large and Betty Jo Mullins. Survivors are her husband Perlie Fleming of Clintwood; son, Robert Fleming and special friend Mary Dye of Clintwood; one sister, Linda McCaslin and husband Joe of Conover, North Carolina; three nieces, Sandy Mullins, Wendy Jointer and Scharlene Mullins; two nephews, Michael Fleming and Greg Mills; her special children, James Dye, Nathan Dye and Junior Dye; very special friend Ruth Phillips and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 3, 2013 after 6:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. A song service will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday, August 4th, 2:00 pm with Reverend Franklin Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers are Michael Fleming, Joe McCaslin, Jerry Rasnick, Earl Fleming, Bradley Blansett and James Dye.
