Carrie Mae Reed, age 100, went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Dickenson Community Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, and the daughter of the late Elbert and Letha Mullins Reed. Although never married, she was a mother and caregiver to many of her special nieces and nephews. Miss Reed was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Reed, Jess Reed, Printice Reed, Willie Reed, and sister Wanda McFall. Surviving is her special sister, Dollie McFall, with who she had lived for the past 25 years; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Carrie Mae Reed will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with minister Frank Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the McFall Family Cemtery, Osborne Gap community. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Sunday, with a song service to follow at 7:00 PM.
