Nell (Bubbles) Carty age 84, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016. She was born in Dickenson County, the daughter of the late Butler and Grace Mullins and was a lifelong resident of the Caney Ridge Community. Mrs, Carty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loving friend to many.

Mrs. Carty was preceded in death by her parents Butler and Grace Mullins, husband Clarence Carty, son Clarence (Rocky) Carty, Jr. and brother Bob Mullins.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Sluss and husband Joe Glenn, Christy Porter and husband Mike all of Clintwood; one brother, Shirley Mullins and wife Ella Mae and sister-in-law Libby Mullins of Clintwood; grandchildren, Nick Sluss and wife Lori, Emily Porter, Michael Porter, Ryan Porter, Andrew Porter; great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Bennett Sluss; special nieces and nephew, Lana Puckett, Cheryl Estep and Roger Puckett; lifelong dear friends, Inis Bise, Avanell Blevins and members of Peuther Chapel Church; special daughter of the heart, Janice Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 11th at 7:00 PM at the Peuther Chapel Church with Pastor Lynn Vanover officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 PM. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 12 th , in the Carty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be deacons and members of Peuther Chapel Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Peuther Chapel Church Building Fund or the Dickenson County Food Bank.
