Bruce Goode age 60, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017. Mr. Goode was born in Gary, Indiana and lived most of his life in Dickenson County.  He was of the Christian faith, a veteran of the United States Army, and a disabled coal miner.

Mr. Goode was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Goode, his brother, David and sister Elizabeth.

Survivors include his wife, Candy Goode of Dante, Virginia; mother, Margaret Goode of New Tazewell, Tennessee; two sons, Jonathan Goode and wife Robin of Connelly Springs, North Carolina and Blake Chaffin of Dante; one daughter, Danielle Vanover and husband James of Coeburn, Virginia; three brothers, Mike Goode of South Carolina, Greg Good of Syracuse, New York and Shawn Goode of New Tazewell, Tennessee; three sisters, Pam Goode, Margaret Sweet and Rachel Miracle of New Tazewell, Tennessee; special nieces, Chasity Cathy and Debbie Chaffin; ten grandchildren, Timothy, Joe, Steven, Gabriella "Gabby", Adalynn "Addy", Chloe, Braydon, Sophia, Brooklynn and Liam; 3 great grandchildren, Kaylynn, Kylee and Madi; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Thursday, November 30th at 1:00 PM in the New Maple Grove Church on Sandy Ridge.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Stacy Vanover officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chaffin Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Greg Goode, Mike Goode, Shawn Goode, Jonathan Good, Blake Chaffin and Mike Sweet.  Honorary pallbearers are Shannon Neece. Jeremiah Cathy and James Vanover.
