Brett Robert Phillips 27, passed away September 5, 2015. He was a 2006 Graduate of Powell Valley High School, and was a carpenter and roofer. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Phillips, and Wanda Funk Phillips He is survived by his wife Anna L. Lester and daughter Emma of Big Stone Gap, VA; two brothers, Freddie Phillips and wife Kim of Clintwood , VA; Clynis Phillips and wife Nancy of Clintwood, VA; three aunts, Twyla Barton and husband Ronnie of Fries, VA; Beuna Vanover of Clintwood, VA; and Janice Martin and husband Bob of Clintwood, VA; one uncle Darrell Phillips of Clintwood, VA; nephew, Justin Phillips of Clintwood, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
