He was preceded in death by his parents, William G. and Ruth Bise Clay; two sisters, Helen Rasnick, and Clara Conley; and one brother, Ronnie Clay. Surviving is his wife, Reba Clay, Clinchco; three sons, Keith Clay, Newport News, VA, Douglas Clay, Hampton, VA, and Ricky Clay and wife Tonya, Yorktown, VA; one daughter, Glenda Moore, Clintwood; five brothers, Don Clay, Roger Clay, Gary Clay, and Jackie Clay, all of Clintwood, and Sam Clay of Cartersville, GA; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
