Bob W. Mullins, age 77, of Clintwood, Virginia passed away at his home on Thursday, July 25, 2013 after an extended illness. Bob graduated from Clintwood High School in 1955 and ETSU University in 1958. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. Bob was a veteran of the US Army and past owner/operator of Bob's Car Wash in Johnson City, Professional Car Wash in Kingsport and owner of Bob W. Mullins Reality and Auction Company in Clintwood. He was an active member of Clintwood's Church of Christ. Bob was the son of the late Butler B. and Grace Nolen Mullins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Mullins Hartsock; brother-in-law Clarence Carty and nephew, Rocky Carty. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth (Libby) Baker Mullins, two sons, Jeffrey (Ajax) Scott Mullins, wife Gamela, of Herndon, VA and Wesley Dean Mullins of Chicago IL; granddaughter, Brittany Hartsock; grandsons, Jefferson David (J.D.) Mullins and Ian Hartsock; brother, Shirley Mullins, wife Ella Mae; sister Nell Bubbles Carty; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dickenson County Home Health and Hospice caregivers and special caregiver, Louella Stanley. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow with Phillip Mullins officiating. Internment will be conducted at Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood at 2 pm Sunday, July 28, 2013. Active pallbearers include: Donald Baker, Lowell Perry, Gary Dingus, Chris McFall, Paul Crumb, and Randall Phipps. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clintwood Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
