Obituary

Beulah Mullins Layne age 91, passed away Saturday, April 14th at her home. Mrs. Layne was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of the Duncan Gap Freewill Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Layne was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Octavia Mullins; husband, Hollis Layne; three brothers, Jack, Glenn and Charlie Mullins.

Survivors include her sons, Roger Layne of Clintwood, Freddie Layne and wife Carolyn of Coeburn; her daughter, Wanda Kiser of Coeburn; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; special caregivers, Phyllis Stapleton and Elaine Mullins; special friend Lucille Hale; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to send a thank you to Dr. David Shepard and the staff of Dominion Health, Mountain Region Home Health and all Hospice workers for their special care of Mrs. Layne.

Receiving of friends will be 6 PM on Monday, April 16th, with services conducted by Norman Mullins and Elmer Mullins at 7 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.  Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at Noon on Tuesday, April 17th, to proceed to Layne Cemetery, Lick Fork for graveside services at 1 PM.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
