Obituary

Beulah Ellen Hibbitts, 92 went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 7, 2008 at the Dickenson Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Dickenson County, Virginia the daughter of the late Noah Columbus and Nettie Smith Yates and the widow of Everette L. Hibbitts. Mrs. Hibbitts was preceded in death by a son Wendell Hibbits and a grandson, Todd. She was a member of the Rugsby Freewill Baptist Church on Caney Ridge. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Hibbitts (Geraldine) Culpepper, VA, and Darrell Hibbitts (Ernestine) Chilhowie, VA, a daughter-in-law, Chris Hibbitts, Manassas, VA; three sisters, Lessie Large, Front Royal, VA, Mertie McIntire, Honaker, VA, and Bea Neighbors, Garlandsville, IL; four grandchildren, Wendy Swart, Quentin Hibbitts, Sabrina Noland, and Pamela Thomas; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Beulah Ellen Hibbitts will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, April 10, 2008 from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with minister Gary Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at the Yates Cemetery, Caney Ridge. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Clintwood Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Quentin Hibbitts, Wayne Thomas, Bruce Willis, Eddie Yates, Mike Yates, Robert Swindall, and Jason Swart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Branham, Jimmy Buchanan, Arnold Rose, Kenneth Ramey, Richard Hill, Robert Musick and Thurman Musick.
