Betty Lou Williams Edwards, age 78, went to Heaven on March 9, 2014 at Valley Healthcare in Chilhowie, Virginia. Mrs. Edwards was born February 21, 1936 to Charles and Jettie Williams. She lived in Clinchco most of her life and graduated from Clinchco High School. She was married to Paul Edwards for forty nine years and had three children. She loved to sew, craft, cook, make candy and care for her family. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her infant daughter, LaJetta Leigh; parents Charles and Jettie Williams; four sisters, Evelyn Phillips, Ruth Johnson , Mamie Shook and Lucille Odell; three brothers, Warren Williams, Doris Williams and Donald Williams. She is survived by her husband, Paul "Dean" Edwards; two daughters, Deana Mullins and husband Mike and Sandra Bowman and husband Roley all of Clintwood; one sister, Irene Ankney and husband Bob and one brother, Clarence Williams all of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Receiving of friends will be 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11th, with services conducted by Gary Hill and Joe Fuller at 7:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, March 12th, to proceed to Phipps Memorial Cemetery for graveside services. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
