Betty Sue Cussins age 75, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. Mrs. Cussins was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a 1965 graduate of Clintwood High School. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cussins enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved working the farm, gardening and working with her horses.

Mrs. Cussins was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Cussins; parents, Troy and Hattie Layne Adkins; her brother, Ronald Adkins and sister, Linda Davis.

Survivors include two step-children, Jody Cussins and wife Melena of Hiltons, Virginia, Jeannie Taylor and husband David of Greenville, South Carolina; two step-grandsons, Zach and Will Keels; brothers, Randy Adkins and wife Honey of Mississippi, Ricky Adkins and wife Debbie of Georgia; sisters, June Brown of Clintwood, Peggy Gentry of Wise, Barbara Carter and husband Danny of Abingdon; several nieces nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Future Farmers of American, Dickenson County Extension Office, PO Box 1160, Clintwood, VA  24228

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
