Beatrice M. Sutherland age 86, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017. Mrs. Sutherland was a member of the Clintwood Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Clintwood.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Sutherland was a very loving and generous person.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Sutherland; parents, Vance and Beulah Miller; 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Stanley and husband James Vernon of Clintwood; two granddaughters, Amy Lindsay and husband Richard, Andrea Steele and husband Keddy all of Coeburn, Virginia; great grandchildren, Nick and Nate Lindsay and Ashton and Austin Steele; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Heritage Hall-Clintwood staff.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Kendrick officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon.  Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Dickenson County Food Bank.
