Barney Eugene Moore age 77, passed away Friday Dec. 15, 2023 at the Dickenson Community Hospital Clintwood, Virginia. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, served his country in the US Army, worked with home construction and an expert at Dry Wall, enjoyed his time with family, playing music, gardening and his pet cat Oscar.

He is preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Della Moore, his first wife Ginger Moore, sisters Carolyn Moore and Linda Moore, brothers Avon Moore and James Moore.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly Moore, a son Gary Moore, a daughter Jean Elizabeth Rose and husband Chris, a sister, Barbara Turner and husband Author, stepchildren Tishia Payne Johnathan Payne, and Merissia Gibson and husband Mitchell.

Grandchildren, Katlyn Rose, step grandchildren Starla, Hannah, Taylor, Henry and Colton, a nephew Adam Moore, a niece Melissa Johnson, along with a host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks to employees of American Electric Power for their kindness.

A celebration of life will be held 1PM Friday Dec. 22. 2023 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Shane Stanley officiating Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, main street Clintwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Perrigan, Afton Rasnick, Jerry Shane Stanley, Adam Moore, Tom Culbertson and Gene Mullins. The family will receive friends from 12 noon till service time.
