Obituary

Athanee Crabtree Fleming age 87, passed away Sept. 27, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was a life long resident of Dickenson County, a member of the Flemingtown Free Will Baptist Church, a loving mother and grandmother.  She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Pearlie Crabtree, brothers; Estes , Elden , Otis , Bennie , Tennie B., sisters; Orie, Marie, Tiny, Hallie and Patsy, a daughter Mary Ann Fleming, a son Roy Lee Fleming, grandchild Bobby Dunford and infant son Carl Butler Fleming.

Survivors include daughters; Louella Edwards, Betty Carty and husband Blaine, Sharon Jones and husband Ted, Peggy Lanier, Tammy Hamilton and husband James, Trish Boggs and husband Dwayne and Stacy Hicks and husband Jason. 14 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. A very special friend Emma Smith along with her church family, several nieces and nephews host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Athanee C. Fleming will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Saturday Sept. 30, 2017 Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with David Kilgore, Billy Carty, Lester Mullins and James Moore.

Burial will follow in the Powers Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Jones, Kenny Mullins, Ronald Dunford, Emmette Deel, Tanner Baker,Jason Hicks and Tyler Boggs, Honorary Pallbearers Blaine Carty, Robert Fleming, Dwayne Boggs and John Porter. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Fri. evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7 PM.
