Clintwood, Virginia Alberta Mullins Willis, age 83, passed away on October 5th after a lingering illness. She was born the daughter of Clintwood and Nannie Mullins. She was a member of the Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Alma Lee Mullins, and a son Darrell Willis. Also, preceding her in death were two sisters, Inus Mullins and Ola Barton and two brothers, Alfred and Will Mullins. Survivors include one son, Harold Willis and one daughter, Bertha Willis. Others survivors include sisters; Dorothy Miller, Wilma Demetris and Lorraine Artrip and one brother, Stanford Mullins. Surviving grandchildren are; Heather Willis, Amy McClain, Kristi Willis and Shawn Mullins and surviving great-grandchildren are; Bobby and Ben Triplett, Cole, Jaxson and Sundara Willis, Michael, Zachary, Nicole and Haley Mullins. Additional survivors are best friends, Jean Salyers, Debbie Crabtree, Peggy Moss, Rhonda Edwards and two loving sisters-in-law, Pat and Pearlie Mullins. Funeral Services for Alberta Willis will be conducted Thursday, October 8th at 11:00 AM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with ministers Frank Hall and Robbie Hay officiating. Burial will follow at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Yogi Mooney, Paul Mullins, Brad Collins, David Vanover and Calvin Crabtree. Honorary pallbearers will be Tex Barton and great-grandsons. Family will receive friends at Clintwood Funeral Home, Wednesday, Oct. 7th at 6:00 PM with a song service beginning at 7:00 PM.
