Chuckie A. Stanley, age 56, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at his residence. He was a life long resident of Clintwood and worked over eighteen years as a coal truck driver. He was a member of Pyles Memorial Freewill Baptist Church, Pound, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Stanley, two sisters and one brother.
Mr. Stanley is survived by his wife, Judy Stanley and mother, Ivile Stanley. Other survivors include three sons; James Watkins and wife Tonya of Kingsport, Kevin Stanley and wife Renee of Clintwood and Michael Stanley of Gate City; two daughters, Kristy Hemphill and husband Martin of Clintwood and Debbie Osborne and husband Tony of Coeburn; one brother, Carl Stanley, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Kathy Stanley of Clintwood and Benita Jacobs of Lexington, Kentucky; three special grandchildren, Dakota, Katrina and Abby in addition to five other grandchildren. Additional survivors include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 7th, 2:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Carter and Pastor Franklin Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 6th, 6:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
