Coeburn, Virginia

Doris Stanley, age 75, passed away at the Dickenson Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Lillian Yates and the wife of Bobby D. Stanley. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Yates; one brother Carol Yates and two sisters, Jewell Robinson and Nancy Yates; step-mother Nannie Rasnick and son-in-law Neal Stanley. Survivors include her husband, Bobby D. Stanley, one daughter, Phyllis Stanley and one son, Jerry D. Stanley all of Coeburn, Virginia. Other survivors include three brothers; James Yates (Collene), Kermit Yates (Carol) and Gene Yates (Norma) all of Clintwood, Virginia; two sisters, Madge Fleming of Coeburn, Virginia, and Martha Stanley (Ivan) of Clintwood, Virginia; three grandchildren, Brad Stanley, Nathan Stanley and Jeremy Stanley; two great grandchildren, Daniel Stanley and Haylee Stanley and a special nephew, Scott Stanley.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, January 17th at 1:00 PM. John Farmer, Bobby Joe Phipps and Terry Price will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Lick Fork Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Scott Stanley, Jeremy Stanley, Nathan Stanley, Bradley Stanley, Kenny Salyer, John Hall, Seth Baker, Eddie Monahan, Aaron Robinson, Rod Robinson and Mitch Branham. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Robinson, Arlie Rasnick, Farley Dutton, Tivis Rasnick and Bobby Hammons. Family will receive friends Saturday at 6:00 PM with a service beginning at 7:00 PM.
